WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

OTOKO -MEETING Tim monthly meeting of the Otoko Women's Institute was held last Saturday. The weather conditions were extremely wintry, snow falling continuously. The meeting was presided over by the president, Mrs. Innes. The roll call, gardening hints, brought forth some useful information. The competitions resulted : —Sweet boxes. —Mrs. Delahunty, 1 ; Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Innes. tie. 2. Pikelets.—Mrs. Shaw, 1; Mrs. limes, 2. During the social period those present joined in . faiewclling Miss Dorothy Cooper, who is leaving the district. The. president, on behalf of the members, wished Miss Cooper every success in the future, and asked her to accept a useful gift. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Richmond. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
