QUINTUPLET ART UNION
PLUNKET SOCIETY EFFORT SUM OF £lB RAISED The Gisbornc Plunket Society's Dionne quintuplet art union, which was made possible through tho generosity of Mr, J. M. Downie, was brought to a conclusion yesterday, when the result, was decided, in the presence of Sergeant T. Campagnolo, representing the police, in the King's .Theatre. The drawing of the numbers: was in tli* hands of Mr. Mar "R'. Fry and Mesdames J. Blair and J. W. Blathwayt represented the Plunket society. The holder of the winning ticket, 669, was Mr. T. Adair. When approached, the winner immediately offered to donate tho prize, a miniature doll set of the Dionne quintuplets, to be drawn again. Five drawings were made, one for each child, and each number proved to bo that of an unsold ticket so the prize reverted to Mr. Adair. It was announced that the public sup-
port of the art union had led to the funds of the Plunket Societv being swelled to the extent of £lB. "On behalf of the society, the president, Mrs. Blair, thanked Mr. Downie for his kindness and the novel means to assist in augmenting the society's funds.
