OBITUARY

MRS. N. McKENZIE Mrs. Naomi McKenzie, who passed away recently, was born at Milton in IS3O. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George .McKay, a prominent pioneering farmer of that district. She took an active interest in church and social work, and was particularly interested in mission work. Unfortunately the late Mrs. McKenzie did not enjoy robust health, and but. for this she would have la ken up active work in the missions of India, or the Polynesian. Islands. Until 1922 she lived in Olago, which she loft to take over a dressmaking business in Gisborne. Here again the Into Mrs. McKenzie showed her interest in church and social work. She remained in Gisborne till 1929, when she married Mr. Donald McKenzie. After her marriage she lived n{ the Taitapu estate, Maungarakau, for five years. In 1934 Mr. and Mrs. MeKenzici moved to Rakopi. She was a keen member of the Oxford Movement. —Nelson Mail.
