CHILD BADLY HURT
STRUCK DOWN BY OAR (Pur PrBSS Association.) MAIITON, this day. As the result, of a bad accident, last evening near Bonny Glen, Hazel Johnston, aged 12, is 'in hospital suffering from a broken thigh and fractured knee. She was returning from school in Marlon on the YVanganui service car, which stopped opposite her home. The child alighted and ran round the rear of the vehicle, to he struck down by a car driven by Malcolm John McLean, of Kiwitea, who was approaching .Marlon. McLean was travelling slowly and he [Hilled the car up in a length.
