Regulations were, considered and, while most of the classes wore either of a macliinety nature or for the purpose of,' improving past , regulations, they were' accepted without comment. The meeting expressed concern at the apparent intention to protect the railways', em'bodied in (he regulations. Arrangements were made to convoy the views of the meeting to the Government, with an added request for a clear expression of tlip Government's future policy affecting Hie motor transport industry. Ik the event of the' .Government's policy being directed-towards the subordination of motor, transport to the railways or towards the elimination of the public transport..,facilities provided by the existing services, it was the duty of those engaged in the industry, the- meeting • considered, to acquaint the public and the users of m6tor transport with the full facts.
