A WAIROA WEDDING

LE GROS—DUNCAN

(Herald Correspondent.) A quiet but pretty wedding was solr.mnised at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Wairoa, on Wednesday, when Ida Blanche, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Le Gros, was joined in holy matrimony to Gordon Douglas John, son of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan, of "Or.a Noa," Bay View, Napier. The officiating clergyman was the Yen. Archdeacon Bntterfield. The bride, who entered the church on tlie'arm of her father, looked charming in her gown of ivory ring velvet, cut on classical lines. Her cream tulle veil was caught at her head with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried'an exquisite-shower bouquet of white.' azaleas, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Tlie. bride's attendant, Miss Phyllis Le Gros, sister, was frocked in shot torquoise blue taffeta, with large puffed sleeves and waist coat effect, and a fullv flared skirt, with hat and shoes to match. She carried a 'bouquet of the palest, pink passion flowers and asparagus fern. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. Bay Goldslone.

The reception was held, at Osier's tearooms. The guests were*received by Mrs. Le Gros, who wore a smart frock of black matalasse and carried a bouquet of pink passion flowers. She was assisted by Mrs. Hay Goldslone, sister of the bridegroom, in the unavoidable absence of Mrs. Duncan. Mrs. Goldstone wore a smart green suit and fur trimmed 1 coat, and carried an autumn tinted bouquet. Tlio'bouquets were the gifts of Miss Bona Unwin.

The happy couple left later on a motor four of the'the North Island, the bride wearing, a bottle green costume, with hat, coat, shoes and gloves to match. The numerous gifts were both useful and valuable.
