FAMOUS YACHT SOLD

TO RACE IN PACIFIC NEW YORK, May 12. Dorade, the American 37ft. deep-sea yacht which won the trans-Atlantic race from Newport, Rhode Island, to Plymouth in 1931, has been sold. She will, in future, race in the. Pacific. The Dorade. one of the smallest racing yachts to cross the Atlantic, was designed by Mr. Oli'n .'I. Stephens, who, with his'father and brothers, sailed hci when she won the trans-Atlantic race. In one of her wonderful ocean voyages she is noted for having carried a spin naker for 1000 miles. The little vessel is only 38ft. 6in. on the walerliue. 10ft. Sin. 'beam and lift. draught. She is a very good 1 sea-boat, and raced under yawl rig. She won the Fastnet race twice in the vears 1931 aid 1933.
