Hecht and MacArthur's Latest Film
DEN' Heeht and Charles MacArthur. . whose collaboration as author: gave us "The Front Page," and who vvro'te and produced "The Scoundrel," the only film in which Noel Coward lias yet appeared, have jus; finished work on another picture. fi is entitled "Soak the Rich," and has as leading lady, .Miss Mary Taylor This 22-ycar-old girl is famous it America ' and London as the mos photographed model of to-day. A Nov, York society girl, she has posed in innumerable' fashion photographs, and has a great reputation for chic. Cecil Beaton, London's favourite photographer, delights to take pictures o:' Mary Taylor, and some of his loveliest studies have her as a model.
The two producers, by the way, are at present enjoying the doubtful pleasure of seeing themselves as otherssee them, for, in New York's new comedy success, "Boy Meets Girl," they are delightfully satirised. Charles MacArthur, as most people know, i the husband of Helen Hayes, who has deserted the screen for the stage, ami is supplying New York with a sensational piece of character acting in the title role of Laurence llousman'."Vietoria Rcgina." This is one o" two very English plays which are proving successful in New York without, having ever been shown in London; the second is an adaptation o. Jane Austen's "Pride ami Pre jitdice," which has Raymond Mas spy's attractive wife, Adrianne Allen. in the role of Elizabeth Rennett.
PAEY Cooper is to be "Wild Bill" Hickok in Cecil B. DeMille's "This Breed of Men." Buffalo Bill will appear, hut "Wild Bill" Ilickok. the famous gunman and frontier marshal, is to have the leading role. The picture will be in colour.
