ROUGH SEA ON COAST

SKIPPER TREATS CREW GENEROUSLY

The sea had been very rough and a small vessel well known on the Gisborne waterfront, was working the aoa.st.ul bays. ' . The men got wet through at Tokomaru and changed just before reaching Tolaga, where the same experience befell them. At length the work was finished and the little craft, turned her nose towards Gisborne. Then the skipper, well pleased with, the day's work, told the men to come into the cabin "and we'll splice the main brace." Needless to say, (here was a rush, and visions of a good stiff lot. of rum arose as the skipper sent to the galley for .a kcttlo of hot water, while the men waited in joyful anticipation. Then the skipper opened his loelccr and with a smile produced a bottle of Brain well's One Nought One. "That's the stuff, boys," he said, as he carefully measured out v. tenspoohfiil, and added the hot water. "It keeps the cold out. and will do you the world of: good." The disappointed crew solemnly took a dose each and then retired; silently. in the. forecastle, however, their iaaguage about, the "old man" was painfully free. However, iion'o of the men caught, cold that, trip, despite the. soaking. This story was recalled of an old seafarer on Saturday. One Nought One is a wonderful. elixir, and for relieving coughs, colds, influenza and all chest ailments has no superior. It also acts as a tonic jo the system. Fourfold the strength of the usual elixir and yet only half-a-crown a bottle, it is no wonder its sales are increasing weekly. It. mayhe purchased at all loading stores and! also at Bram well's Pharmacy in Glad-i stone rood."
