Mr. Sigrist, a former Black and Tan officer, was returning from a. tour of inspeetion with a Hritish constable, when tlie Arabs, one of whom is a Government school teacher, emptied automatics into the ear, which fell 30ft. into a. valley as Mr. Sigrist lost, control of the wheel. The constable, though injured, returned the fire and wounded one assailant, who died in the hospital. The others fled. A bomb hurled at a train at. Kalkilieli injured 18 Jews. . . ...
