The question whether Maori children should attend Ordinary schools in districts where native schools were provided arose at a . reccrjU meeting of the Auckland Education Board. A letter from the .Iyaikoho District High School Committee said the case had arisen where native parents living nearer to a native school had insisted that..their children should attend the High School. The chairman, Mr. T. U. Wells, said the board had advised the committee that, its ruling was that, native children could go to any school where there was room.
