WEDDING
GARLAND-WALWORTH A very pretty wedding was, solemnised at Holy Trinity Church on Monday., when veu:! Theodosia, daughter of Mrs. V. Walworth, and the late Mr. Walworth, of Gishorne, was married to Norman lluia, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garland, of Christchurch. Canon A. F. Hall ofiiciated at the ceremony, while Mr. W. Kohn presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with chrysanthemums and greenery, and the pews were adorned with maroon and white bows.
The bride, who was escorted by Mr. Pi. M. Fyfe, looked charming in her frock of ivory satin beaute, cut on fitting lines, and falling into a sweeping train. A silver girdle finished the waistline, and she wore a beautiful hand-embroid-ered veil, loaned by a friend, which was held to her head with a spray of orange blossom. Her slippers were of white brocade, and she carried a sheaf of artificial white apple blossom, intermingled with asparagus fern, and tied with a white how, to which was attached a silver horse shoe.
She was attended by Miss Bona Chapman, chief bridesmaid, and Miss Xefta Garland, sister of the bridegroom, wdio were dressed alike iii graceful frocks of maroon panne velvet cut on slender lines, and they wore silver halo headbands. Their lovely sheafs were of pink artificial apple blossom and asparagus fern. Miss Joyce Hill! niece of the bride, made an attractive little flower girl dressed in a dainty frock of ivory crepe beaute girdled with silver and trimmed with true lovers' knots. She wore a bandeau of silver lame and carried a sheaf of pink apple blossom. The duties oi best man were ably carried out by Mr. Jack Walworth, brother of the bride, while Mr. Norman Pell. YVairoa, was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Freosia Lounge. Mrs. Walworth, the bride's mother, was wearing a. becoming frock of nigger brown crepe mousse trimmed with a scarlet shoulder posy, and worn with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a sheaf of autumntinted flowers.
Mrs. Campasrnolo. Whiron. antii of the bridegroom, chose a smart frock, of henna marocain. worn with a hnt to tone, and she carried a. sheaf of autumn flowers.
Mrs. C. IT. Hill, sister of the bride, wore a graceful frock of black crepe erepe iris trimmed with flame.
Mrs. .1. Bell, sister of the bride, chose blue and while figured erepe-de-ehine. Later in the evening the bride and bridegroom left for Wairoa, when.' they will make their future home. Mrs. Carland travelled in a smart navy blue tailored costume worn with a navy felt hat and suede shoes lo match. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a, beautiful travelling outfit, while he presented the bridesmaids with crystal necklets. '
