APPEAL TO DEPUTIES BRIEF SESSION HELD (Reed. June 2. 1.15 p.m.) 'PARIS, June 1. When the Chamber of Deputies was convened for a brief session a number of suffragettes sold bouquets to deputies nearing cards inscribed: “Best wishes to the new legislature, but don't forget us.”
Attendants removed banners hung from the galleries inscribed : “Votes for women.”
The Prime Minister elect, M. Leon Blum, was absent. The oldest deputy, M. Antoine Salles, presided. M. Harriot will be a candidate for the chairmanship on June 3.
