A lightning strike of 1200 bus condoctors in Dublin, because the day’s time-sheet allegedly broke the United Tramway Company's agreement regarding hours of duty, spoilt the Whitsun holiday. Thousands of oxeur.sionists were stranded in the capital, while visitors to the country and the seaside had to return as best they could in heavy rain. The tram services were normal. The strike was settled.
