COMMUNIST. PAMPHLETS DISCOVERV IN PALESTINE VIOLENCE CONTINUES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Rccd June 1,2 p.m.) JERUSALEM, -May 31. Communist pamphlets printed in English have been discovered inciting British troops in mutiny. Others in Hebrew urge Jewish worliers, lo support the Arab strike against Imperialism and Zionism. Suspects have been arrested in eonncclon wiili the shooting of a German Jew, Fran/. I'. orchard I. aged 59 years, who died in a hospital. Soldiers and police, vigorously retaliating against sniper.-;, killed several Arabs at. Haifa and Jaffa, 'tear gas pistols disguised as pencils are being distributed among Jews as a protection against Arab attacks.
Arab Mayors at Jaffa. Niiblus, Ramley, Lydda and Hebron decided that the water supply, lighting, scavenging and other municipal services should be discontinued, and passed a resolution supporting the higher Arab committee's demand for the Cessation of Jewish immigration and land sales to Jews, declaring that they would resign unless they received satisfaction from the British authorities in 10 days.
