The Franklin Electric Power Board has decided to support tho representations of tiro Huntly Borough Council to have a. steam power plant established at Huntly instead of allowing additions to be made to the King's Wharf station,, Auckland. It was mentioned that a proposal was on foot to' construct a dam for coal at the Auckland station at a cost of £7500. Freight charges on coal to the station amounted to £70,000 annually. A station at Huntly would do away with this unnecessary transport. There Is no doubt that, the increased wool prices will, help the farther to make up leeway, but they will' also mean clearer woollens.
