(Hcrahl Correspondent.) Prize-winners at another of the Bowling Club’s popular Hag five-hundred evenings held in the club pavilion on Tuesday night were as follow: —Winning table: Miss A. L. Moore, Messrs. H. Graham, K. 11'ulchens and W. Shaw. The points prizes went to Mrs. C. W. Taylor and Mr. R, Graham. Other prizes were won by Miss 0. Ruing and Mr. C. Christophorson. Master VV. Powell, aged 17, left Tolaga Hay on Tuesday to join 11.M.5. Philomel. ‘ lie is one of 28 boys wanted from New Zealand as naval cadets. Mrs. .1. I’a It ridge and family, Gisborne, who have been visiting Mrs. A. Gnzely, Wharokaka, returned home on Tuesday.
A very enjoyable dance, was held in tho Arero sclioolhou.se on Saturday night to raise sufficient money to procure a lawn mower for the school. Music was supplied hv several of the dancers, and Mr. H. Prebble. acted as M.C. A dainty supper was served at a suitable interval.
Referees to control Saturday’s Rugby matches have been appointed by the Tolaga Bay Rugby Referees’ Association ns follows :—Seniors : Country v. Tuariia. No. 1 ground. 1.50 p.m., Mr. 11. Powell: I limit i v. Tawhiti (Tokomaru Bay). No. 1 ground, 3 p.m.. Mr. C. Calvert. Juniors: In the event of the sub-union being able to arrange a junior match, the referee will be Mr. VV. McKenzie, the. match to be played on No. 2- ground at 3 p.m.
