GREENSLADE V. GREEN- ' ‘ SLADE

A decree nisi, to be made absolute within three months, was granted to Dorothy Margaret Florence Greenslado (Mr. J. S. Wauchop) against George Graham Grecnslailc (Mr. E. T. Brosnalian) by Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court to day. Mr' Wauchop said that the grounds for the Action vvTre separation, and lie asked Hi© Honour to exercise his discretion under section IS of the Act. for the petitioner had lived with Alexander Robb as his wife for the past three years, and there was one child of this union. Petitioner, in evidence, said she was married in Opot.iki in 1916, and there were six children of the marriage. Their married life was an unhappy one, because of a dispute over the eldest boy, of which respondent maintained he was not the father. They separated in May, 1930. In 1032 she joined in a Sharemilking agreement with Mr. and MrS. Ritchie and Alexander Robb, nil living together in the same house. Petitioner had known Robb previously, for he had worked with her husband at Te Aral, but he had nothing to do with the separation. In the sharemilking agreement, a friendship developed into a closer relationship, and a son was born to them. They intended to marry, if petitioner was given a divorce. Even had she not formed the association with Rdbb, she would not have returned to her husband.

Alexander Robb, sharernilker, Thornton, gave evidence that ho was .working for the husband of the petitioner at the time of the separation. In reply to His Honour, Mr. Brosnahan said that the youngest child lived with the mother, and the other five n'itli the respondent. Petitioner was given custody of the youngest child and reasonable access to the others. '
