WIN FOR APANUI HICKS BAY LEADS COMPETITION (Herald Correspondent.) Last Thursday the Matnkaoa Football .Sub-union representatives met representatives of the Aplimti sub-union at Raukokore, ami after a good match the latter won by 12 points to 11. Next Saturday a match will he played at Tikitiki between a team selected from the Malakaoa and Apanui sub-unions and a team from sub-unions south of Matnkaoa.. The match will be a trial one to help the selectors to pick a team to meet Taranaki at Waitara for the I’ainui-Maniapoto Cup next month. The position of the four clubs in the competitions is as follows: Hicks Bay 6. City 3, Toknrarangi 2. Wanderers 1.
