The Philadelphia, correspondent of the New York Times says that the Australian tennis players are not as lit as they might he. Quist and McGrath are bothered by a bad linger and bad wrist respectively. Quist’s blistered index linger troubled nim again to-day while he was playing in doubles with Crawford against McGrath and Sproule. McGrath, who apparently fell on his annjast week, to-day had his right: wrist bandaged, although this did not appear to interfere with his game. It is announced that Vincent Richards will act as practice coach for the Australians during the next few days. I Sproule expressed satisfaction at ' having Richards on Ihe side lines for the last, crucial days of training. | Davis Cup officials announced that contrary to the practice of past years all the singles will be played on one court, and the doubles on another. Previously' two courts were used for the singles. i
