1200 ON STRIKE

LONDON, April 7

Twelve hundred men and boys employed tit Aberpergwin Collieries, Glynnenth, owned by Amalgamated Anthracite Colliery, Limited, went on strike yesterday, because the owners have withdrawn certain allowances made to the men for coal cutting. The men claim that the allowances have always been paid for years, but the owners maintain that the men are not entitled to them.
