BRITON’S BOMB ESCAPE
DELIVERED WITH EH OS MADRID, April 8. Mr. Alfred Posset t, an English business mail, together with his stall of _O, had a remarkable escape this morning when a bomb exploded in a Hat allow his oflioe. The Hat was eompleteh wrecked and Mr. Rossott’s premises wore damaged. The bomb had been brought to the Hat, which i.s occupied by Honor Ldwtvrdo Ortega, a prominent Communist, by two young men. It was concealed in a basket of eggs labelled as a “present from a friend.” The maid who answered the door peeped under the top layers of the eggs and cried out that she saw .smoke. Mine. Ortega ordered her and tiie two children out of the Hat, threw mattresses on tiie egg basket, and then ran. Immediately afterwards came the explosion. Mine. Ortega was injured in tiie hand. Mr. Posset i said that .Honor Ortega laid told him a previous attempt on his life had been made a few days ago.
