BLAZE IN GARAGE
TWO TRUCKS DAMAGED WIRELESS PLANT LOST (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. A corner of a workshop in some old corrugated iron sheds on the. Anderson’s Bay road, used by the Government as a garage and storehouse, was gutted by fire early this morning. Two trucks were damaged and copper wire and odd stores were burnt, but the heaviest loss occurred ill art attic room above, where a Government radio station was recently equipped with plant and the main purpose of which was communication with planes during flight. The plant, which was totally destroyed, was valued at £!3CO. Fortunately the brigade confined the fire to one corner of the big store and garages, in one of which I here arc 10 buses. These were not even alfeeled by water.
