The red flag of Communist Russia, with the hammer and sickle, was discovered at dawn to-day flying on a flagstaff above the new imposing Supreme Court building. At the base of the pole was a copy of the Harvard University students' publication, the Lampoon, containing an article entitled, "Down with Capital ism."

The regular guard, composed of four men, passed by the flagstaff all night, vet the pranksters not only succeeded in raising the emblem unknown to them, but so skilfully knotted the halyards that the removal of the flag necessitated long labour by police and firemen, who w-ere compelled to employ a. higih extension ladder before they could tear down the emblem.
