Radio in Hotels

VOYt some time many of the hotels in America have provided loudspeakers in the bedrooms for their guests who can at will make a selection from a number of alternative programmes. A man who recently returned from New York, stated that while staying at one of the more modern hotels, he wns surprised to hear the voice of one of the iSBC Empire announcers emanating from the loudspeaker by his bedside. Upon making inquiries he learnt that this particular hotel possessed short-wave receiving apparatus and' an aerial system of the most modern design, so that home-sick listeners from Europe can be lulled to sleep by programmes from London, Berlin, Paris, or Koine, according to their choice.
