CABINET’S ATTITUDE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last, night, In a letter received by the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand yesterday the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, declared that the Government’s policy in regard to exchange costs was definitely in the direction of placing the charge, on the particular undertaking for which such costs had been incurred. This answers an inquiry from the Associated Chambers as to the attitude of the Government to the, continued complaints to Parliament by the Controller and ' Auditor-General about the misleading nature of the public accounts through London transactions in exchange having been entered in certain of the public accounts at their sterling amounts, without conversion into New Zeaaland currency.
