LORD BLEDISLOE’S HOPE CENTENARY YEAR (per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. It is probable that Viscount Bledisloe, formerly Governor-General of New Zealand’ will visit the Dominion in 1940 to take part in the centenary celebrations. lu a letter received by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. Ernest Davis, Lord Bledisloc mentions his interest in the arrangements being made for the ■centenary. Lord Bledisloe adds: “I shall’look forward in due course to hearing whafyour final programme is, and I hope by God’s blessing to be a humble yet fervent participant in your national and civic rejoicing and thanksgivings when .1940 comes.”
