WEDDING

JACKSON—MORRIS An exceedingly pretty wedding was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Gisborne, oil Tuesday evening, the contracting parties being Edna May, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Morris, Dominion road, Gisborne, and granddaughter of the late- Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Nasmith, and William Leonard, third son of Mr. J. M. Jackson and of the late Sirs. Jackson, of Tokomaru Bay. Canon Hall officiated at the ceremony. Tho bride looked charming in her beautiful bridal robes. Her gown was of white crepe satin lavenelle, moulded over the hips and flaring to the hem of the skirt. A pointed panel in front held tucks on each side Tucks were also on the shoulders, and the Russian sleeve, ended in a pointed fitting cuff. The cowl neck was held in place- by sprays of orange blossom. At the hack, a row of buttons extended to below Uie waistline that was belted. A beautiful tulle veil, cap-like, flowed in a long train, each corner being embroidered in silk, and the veil carried a wide band of exquisite silk lace. Her orange blossom wreath was in the form of three banded halos. She wore white silk hose and satin shoes, and carried a bouquet of exquisite pale pink roses, white cactus dahlias and fern completing a most beautiful toilette. As she entered the church on her father’s arm, the wedding march was played by Mr. Wilfrid Kolin at the organ. Miss Eileen Morris, sister of the bride and chief bridesmaid, wore a beautiful dress of fine, silk threaded blush-rose pink angel-skin. The long skirt was flowing and graceful, with a bodice with cowl neck and sleeves, and buttoned at the back to the waistline. A velvet sash to tone was worn. The underskirt was of pink satin. She wore a bandeau of flat pink velvet daisies, and pink and silver brocaded shoes, and carried a bouquet of beautiful pink roses, cactus dahlia and satin ribbon (all pink toned) and fern. The second bridesmaid, Miss Roma Woolliams, Rotorua, wore i’orget-me-not blue laee, fashioned like the chief bridesmaid’s frock. She wore a flat blue velvet daisy bandeau, and 'shoes of silver, and carried a beautiful bouquet, a replica of the chief bridesmaid’s. Mr. Frank Jackson, Tokomaru Bay, was best man, and Mr. Jack Jackson, Rotorua, groomsman. The bride’s mother, Mrs. R. E. Morris, wore a smart navy floral crepe maroeain frock, swagger coat and navy felt hat relieved by white, and carried a bouquet of crimson and pink roses and fern. Mrs. Douglas Blair, aunt of the bride, was ('rocked in wine-coloured niarocoin, with floral silk crepe cape and jabot, and wore a draped beret of wine maroeain, held by- a black satin buckle, with diamante ornamentation, and shoulder spray of wine dahlias and Irish Elegance. Mrs. D. Geary, Tokomaru Bay, sister of' the bridegroom, was frocked in black maroeain. Mrs. Gay, , Wairon, cousin of the bride, wore pale pink, ns did her sister, Miss 1,. Raehinger; Mrs. Muir, a cousin, white spotted black maroeain; Miss Brad lev, a cousin, pale green. A reception was held at tlie* Froesin Lounge, where the breakfast was partaken of, and toasts drunk with musical honours. A beautiful three-tiered cake had pride of place. This was followed by a dance, with cards for non-dancers, Mrs. Thomson acting as pianist. The happy couple were the recipients of a fine array of beautiful presents.

The bride’s going away--cos In me was of brown tweed, with brown velvet collar and lapels. She wore a brown felt hai with orange quill, and brown suede shoes. A Teddy bear coal and scarf of brown and orange completed a small travelling costume. The honeymoon will lie spent in Rotorua and Auckland.
