TREND IN BRITAIN MORE PERSONS EMPLOYED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, March 26. February figures of retail trade again demonstrate the steady increase in the nation's purchasing power which has followed the trade revival. The money value of sales last month was 7.3 per •cent higher than in February oil 1935. This follows rises of 10.8 per cent in January and 9.1 per cent in December. The total number of persons employed in retail establishments;was 3.4 per cent greater at the end of February, 1936, than a year earlier.
