CYCLIST KILLED
COLLISION WITH TAXI SMASH AT MIDNIGHT i (Pur Press Association.) DARGAYILLB, this day. A collision occurred at 12.45 o'clock this morning between a cycle ridden by Fred Clark, aged 23 years, and a taxi car driven by H. Searie on the Turiwin road. The car was travelling | from Dargaville and the cycle was going in the opposite direction. Mr. Clark was thrown heavily from his machine and sustained severe injuries. After he had received medical attention he was taken to the Te Kopuru Hospital in an unconscious condition. He died at 5.45 o'clock. The deceased was a native of Ireland and had been employed by Mr. T. H. Spence of Turiwiri " for the past six months. Two brothers of Mr. Clarke reside at Ruawai, one at Te Kopuru and another at Waihi. The car and the cycle were not, badly damaged.
