JAPANESE WHALERS

FLEET AT FKRMANTLTS PERTH, March 18. Following five strenuous months lit sen, the factory ship, Toimn Muni, and live whalers comprising the Japanese Antarctic whaling fleet, reached Fremantle this afternoon in tlie course of their journey home to Osaka. The last port of call was Sydney, which the fleet left on October 20. The vessels are now returning with 8000 barrels of oil, obtained from (>SO whales. It is claimed lo lie only a moderate catch, and that the figures would have been higher if many whales had not been lost in heavy weather. The voyage wil be resumed in two or three days.
