BABY'S BODY IN CASE

DISCOVERED TOO LATE BRISBANE, March 1.1. Dead from suffocation, a baby was recently found in a leather suitcase at a station about 78 miles from Quilpie. The baby's life might have been saved but for the delay in locating it. The infant's muffled cries were heard coming from a bedroom by an employee, of the station, but, in a subsequent search of the room, the suitcase was passed over. By the time a doctor arrived from Quilpio and discovered the child, it was dead.
