Mr. R. S. Odell, formerly of the Lauds and Survey Department, Wellington, has been appointed senior assistant a! the Parliamentary Library. Flying-Officer D. L Dnstin, fl son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Duslin, of Wanganui, and formerly of the Royal Air Force, has received a two years' appointment with Soeiete Misr Airwork, Limited, and he will 'be stationed at Aibaclen, Persia. Mr. P. G. Bush, the well-known All Black .and University Rugby player, and an Auckland representative cricketer, has accepted a position with Milne and Ohoyee, Limited. For the pasl few years Mr. Bush has followed the teaching profession. Pilot Officer G. M, Firth, who received cuts about the face and forehead, abrasions and shock when the Manawatu Aero Club's Moth 'plane ZK-AI3A made a forced landing at flaieomhe last week, has been discharged from the Palmerston North Hospital. His companion. Mr. A. F. Castles, is reported to he making favourable progress.
