BLAZE AT BALLARAT PROBABLE £35,000 LOSS MELBOURNE, Dlarch 24. The largest lire witnessed in Ballarat occurred to-day and. destroyed the Coliseum Theatre, which seated GOOO people, and had been the scene of the South Street competitions since 1908. Fifteen thousand feet of film ignited, setting lire to the building, which •was built of wood and galvanised iron. The Athenaeum Theatre and other adjoining buildings also suffered. The total damage is upwards of £35,000.
