PUBLIC DEBT OF CANADA TORONTO, Jan. 11. An estimate of the public funded debt of Canada on January 1, .1930, made hv A. E. Ames and Company, shows a" total of £1,390,800,000. This includes direct and guaranteed obligations of ihe Dominion, the provinces and the municipalities. The unfunded public debt, is not estimated. Wood, Gundy and Company point out (hat while Canada's total debts are large, they are not as large as in some other Kril.ish countries. The debt is estimated at £125 per capita.
