WAIKOHU R.S.A.

TE KARAKA .'SOCIAL (Herald Correspondent.) Recently the Waikohou R.S.A. has been entertained by " the Te Karaka .Bowling Club. On the Tuesday evening the R'.S.A. returned this hospitality in the form of a euchre party and conceit. interspersed with dances. All friends we're invited and tlie hall was well filled, at least 200 people being present. The R.S.A. euchre team beat the howlers. Air. Erns'haw made a very efficient M.G. and led the community singling and otherwise kept the ball rolling until midnight, when, after a supper supplied by all the ladies, the gathering dispersed, The concert items were as follows: Pianoforte solo, Miss M. Morris; song, Miss L. Rum; step dance, Shirley Luttrell and Shirley Appleton; song, Mr. D. Cranswick; Spanish dance, Miss K. Haronga and Mr. E. Ruru ; song, Miss M. Morris. Every item was much appreciated. Miss L. Ruru presided at the piano.

The president of tlie Waikohu R.S.A., Mr. S. S. Smithers, welcomed the visitors, and especially mentioned those from Gisborne. Tlie president of the Te Karaka Bowling Club, Mr. W.
