EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS
AGRICULTURAL COLLEGES
REPORT TO BE MADE
(Per Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, this day. A suggestion from the Alassey College that degree students from the Canter bury Agricultural College and from the Alassey College should interchange for a year is to be investigated by Dr. Hilgeir dorf, director of Canterbury College, and by the professorial boards of both col leges. A derision to this effect was made by the Board of Governors of Canterbury College at its meeting yesterday. ‘‘lt is suggested that certain subjects should he taught only at Lincoln and certain othei subjects only at Massey,” said Dr Hilgendorf, in explaining the proposa to the board. The suggestion would save money and would improve courses for students if the board approved the general idea. He was very much in favour of it. Tt would cost the students nothing extra except the passage to Palmerston North and return.
The chairman, Mr. C. 11. Hewlett, said the interchange proposed was for one year only out of four and would be reciprocated. It was agreed to ask Dr. Hilgeudori and the professorial boards of both colleges to make a report.
