Paris Television
TN the studio of the Paris television station which was opened in November, the artists are to intense illumination from a battery of IS light projectors. The total power consumed by the battery is 4S kilowatts (about 64 horse-power). Consequently, a great deal of heat is generated, and in order to make conditions bearable an elaborate ventilating and cooling system is necessary. Without, it, temperatures of the order of 140 degrees would be readied. The station transmits from the Eiffel Tower on a wave length of S metres, according to the Barthelemy system.
