An offer by an Indian team to visit New Zealand this year was referred to the emergency committee, tlie chairman saying that it would probably have to be deferred. The German Consul at Wellington wrote staling that he had been advised by his Government that, owing to difficult v in obtaining leave for players, New- Zealand's invitation to Germany to send a German amateur team could not be accepted.
