BRITISH REARMAMENT
NEW INDUSTRIES PLANNED DISTRESSED AREAS LONDON, March 3. The Government intends to plant new industries and place important orders within the special areas; known as "distressed" in connection with the rearmament scheme, stated Mr. Ramsay MacDonald in the House of Commons.
Mr. MacDonald added that the Air Ministry would also possibly establish a .station in South Wales, which would employ considerable civilian labour.
A new Government, factory in con ricction with the rearmament pro gramme was also being located there The site had been decided upon, but the position could not be disclosed at present.
