RUMOUR DENIED
TREASURY BILL ISSUE
\ rumour that the Government intended to raise £11,000,000 by an issue of non-interest-bearing Treasury bills to the Reserve Bank was denied by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash. "I have never heard anything!, about it; it is absolute news to me," said Mr. Nash, when the rumour was referred to him Mr. Nash was pressed to give some indication of the proposals of the Government, but said that he was not prepared to say anything at all yet. No indication could be given before the time was ripe. . Asked when the country might expect some announcement of the Governments financial policy, Mr. Nash said: I won't, talk now. 1 cannot give rtiny indication at all." .
