At the last minute, it was found that Mossraan's cycle was out of order, and he borrowed another machine, much lighter than his own. Travelling down the gangway at a high speed, he crossed the V"ss. travelled up the ramp and, instead of falling into the blazing tank, passed over the top of it, striking the wooden framework at the far end with considerable force. Splintering the woodwork, the machine fell to the Liround. , , A sigh of relief came from the large crowd as Mossman rose stiffly to his feet and limped toward an ambulance man. 71 was found that he had escaped with a bruised leg. He suffered extensive minor injuries when he skidded from the gahgwav while attempting the same trick in' Wellington recently.
