FARMING BANKRUPTCY
DEFICIENCY OF £18,141 HICKS BAY PETITION A deficiency of £18,141 15s 5d is shown in a statement submitted by Charles Henry Clarke, shecpfarmer, Hicks Bay, who has filed his petition in bankruptcy. Debts listed totalled £18,158 15s sd, and assets, a dog and a horse, were valued at only £l7. All but £lB6 was owing to unsecured creditors, the total value of the securities being £IOO. The secured creditors were Mrs. John Clarke, Te Araroa, Mrs. James Dunning, Whangateau, and Mrs. Joseph Torkington, North Auckland. Unsecured creditors were shown as follows: Union Bank of Australia, £10,272 9s sd ; Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company, Limited, £IBB7 12s 8<1; Te Araroa Sheepfarmers' Co-operative, in liquidation, £B3O 10s lid; Auckland Fanners' Trading Company, £22 3s 3d; T. P. Hogan, Gisborne, £8; Rees, Bright, Wnuchop and Parker, Gisborne, £7 15s; Nolan and Skeet, Gisborne, £4 4s; Bank of New Zealand, £4195 12s; State Advances superintendent, £144 4? lOd interest and £6OO deficiency on sale; Mrs. C. H. ClarEe, Hicks BaVi £l4 3s 4d; Mrs. John Clarke and others, £B6.
