Mr. F. Forman. Lyttelton, arrived in Gisborne yesterday morning to take np ri post in a local firm. Mr. Forman was prominent in yachting circles in Lyttelton and for the past seven years has been spinnaker-hand in the representative crew in the Sanders Cup eontests. ile lias been in the winning boat for live years, lie has also represented Canterbury in the hockey field. Me played on'the right wing for the Trinity Hockey Club in Christchurch.
"Ever since the All Black team visited England a generation ago—and 1 well remember seeing that team play Cambridge—Great Britain has had a very high respect for New Zealand football," said Lord Trent in an address to the Wellington Rotary Club, "but no team that has ever visited our shores has won so firm a place in the hearts of our Rugby enthusiasts as Jack Manchester's team which has just'come back. They won that place not only because they played a fine, clean attacking game in a "true spirit of sportsmanship, but also because everyone who came in contact with them personally off the field of play liked them for what they were.
