The organising and financing of an expedition to Bolivia was mentioned in the London Bankruptcy Court yesterday, when an application was made for the discharge of Bndgeman Rockfort. Mordaimt-Sniith, who was mijudged bankrupt in September, 1030. Mr. Y. Armstrong, assistant official receiver, said Mordaunl Smith had stated thai: when he was S> he became entitled to £IO,OOO invested iu shares, lie sold the shares and lost, the pro coeds in connection with companies and n venture arising I torn a unibei; concession in Bolivia, lie attributed his insolvency to the failure of the venture in B.olivia. He returned his loss in connection with the concession, including the expenses of an expecli tion there, at. £10,700. The banking liabilities amounted to £153-1.
.Mr. Registrar Mellor granted the discharge, suspending it for'n month.
