DECREASE IN DEATHS
More births were registered in Gisborne last month, compared with February, 1935, and deaths declined to less than half of the total of a year ago. Marriages also showed a large decline, and numbered only half of the total for the corresponding month last year. For the first two months of the year, births remained approximately the same as in the first two months of 1935, Deaths decreased by five to 25, while marriage notices issued declined by 10 to 25.
