MAJESTIC THEATRE

‘ ‘ DAVID COPPERFIELD' ’

“David Copperlield.’' Hugh Walpoles screen adaptation of Dicken’ famous story is having a return season at the Majestic. A return season will be justified. for surely there has never been a drama to equal “David Copperlield.'' The cast. 100. is of outstanding brilliance. .Basil Ratlihouc. in a comparatively small part, gives a performance second to none, his portrayal of the coldblooded Mr. Murdstone being absolutely faultless. The greatest praise, however. must lie reserved for Roland Young’s magnificent characterisation as 1 I’riali Deep. Hitherto known only as a comedy artist, he is responsible lor a performance here that puls him in a class all of his own.
