WAIEOA STOCK SALE SHEEP PRICES ADVANCE Owing to unfavourable weather conditions, last week’s Wuiroa stock sale was postponed from llmrsday to Friday. A large yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle were offered to a. very satisfactory attendance of buyers, bidding throughout was keen and spirited. There was a general advance over the previous week’s sheep prices. I ive-yeai ewes of good quality and lambs met with a keen demand. Young and s.m. ewes met with spirited competition. One line of 5-year ewes on account of Mi. 11. May, Ruakituri, fetched El 5s 211 per head, and one line of 2-tooth ewes on account of the same vendor sold at El 3s. Another line of 5-year ewes on account of Mr. I*. .Jackson, Ohuka realised El 4s per head. Prices ranged as unders-year ewes, 20s (o 25s 2d ; 2-tooth to 4-year ewes, 24s 9d; m.a. ewes, 17s 2d to 19s ; 4tootli ewes, 21s; fat ewes, 15s Id; tat wethers, 23s to 245; 2-tooth wethers, 18s 9,| to £1 Is; 4-tooth wethers, 21s Oil : ewe lambs, 14s to 18s lGd ; wolhei lambs, 12s to 16s 8d ; Southdown lambs, 10s 7d to 12s 1 Oil; very good fat bullocks. C 8; very good fat cows, E 6 Bs.
