WAIROA SHOW

TO-MORROW'S FIXTURE

LARGE ENTRIES

ALL PROSPECTS GOOD

(Herald Correspondent.)

There is every prospect, as the weather appears at the time of writing, that Wairoa's 1936 carnival, notwithstanding the sad happenings of the past week, will be a success.

All the. carnival fixtures promise to be we!! supported, and the carnival queen supporters are sLill making I lie pace pretty hot. The races and Show are, of course, the major attractions. Both at the racecourse and the showground the weather has contributed not a little to the preparation of the grounds. There is every indication that the showground will'be the scene of much bustle, business and merriment on Wednesday, and "the attendance should prove a record. The entries, though not. yet tabulated, are oidy a little behind 'the 1934 record, but bv tho time the late entries are. added it is quite likely they wiil exceed those. The dancing section alone has produced over 200 entries, so that, if- may be fairly assumed that this section has come to stay as part of the A. and P. Association's programme.
