The country is polling peacefully. The main contest i,s between the Popular Party, headed by M. Tsaldaris, and the Venizelos Party, headed by M. iSophoulos.

None of the late Ministers are con testing seats. A heavy. poll is iridi cated.

Officers supporting u.c Venizclists and General Kondylis are believed to be eager to seize power if the elections are unfavourable to them. Troops are ready to quell any outbreak.
